Japan National Team Athletes Visit Guam

Olympic hopefuls from Guam and Japan met with each other on November 6 at the Guam National Olympic Committee office in Maite.
Guam's Paul John Dimalanta (sprints), Madison Packbier (sprints), and Richelle Tugade (100m Hurdles/ Sprints) met with Japan national track and field team members Naoto Tobe (High Jump), Ryoma Yamamoto (Triple Jump), and Anna Doi (100m) to discuss training experiences and their preparations for next year's Tokyo Olympic Games. The athletes also exchanged gifts as a sign of friendship and respect.
The Japan athletes were visiting Guam as employees of Japan Airlines (JAL).
Tobe, Yamamoto, and Doi have already represented Japan at previous World Championships and Olympic Games. Dimalanta and Tugade recently returned from a two-month long training camp in Fukuoka, Japan, thanks to a partnership with the Oceania National Olympic Committees and the Fukuoka Prefecture Government.
